As part of the Trial Admission Program, you will need to complete English Composition I and Intermediate Algebra or College Algebra with a C or higher in both courses over the summer. If you already have college credit in either course you will work with our Admissions office to determine an appropriate substitution.
Most students will complete the courses at a college or university close to their home. The courses must be completed in person (not online) and you should plan to have them finished by the first of August, to ensure you have enough time to submit final transcripts to MU.
The benefits of TAP include:
- Option to complete courses close to home
- Ability to schedule course times that work for your summer schedule including part-time jobs, vacations, and other commitments
- Possibility of using your existing support network
- If not enrolled at MU in the fall, you could continue your coursework without disruption
